Charlotte graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA(Hons) in Economics before going on to study Medicine at St George’s Hospital Medical School in London. She is now approaching the end of her General Practice training in South London. Clinically her interests lie in women’s health, paediatrics and sexual health, and she has completed post-graduate diplomas in all of these areas.
Outside of her clinical practice, Charlotte is interested in the challenges facing the NHS more widely. In particular, how the system can become financially sustainable whilst continuing to provide excellent care and retaining the core principles of the NHS.
Charlotte also believes strongly in the role of the ‘clinical voice’ within healthcare management to give frontline input into decisions about service design and management, which she feels will become increasingly important as services evolve to meet the changing needs of our population.
She is very excited to be spending the coming year with NHS England and the Health Select Committee.
Outside of this she has two young and very adorable children and an extremely supportive husband.
